Writing, editing, publishing

I decided, rather than let this blog just set through the year, that I would use it to write about... writing. Not cat stories, no trip reports -- none of the things that I discuss in my other journals.

This is where I'm going to discuss the work I do as an editor for Vision and the person in charge of Dragon Tooth Fantasy Ebooks. It's where I'll also discuss my own writing experiences, including sales and upcoming publications.

I'm a busy person in the writing world. Not an important one, but someone who is involved in a lot of different aspects of writing, from my own work to running a writing site, Forward Motion, with 6000 registered members. And of course, there's Vision and Dragon Tooth.

But I am also a writer. I write every single day and have for about two decades now. My publications are numerous but in small press and epublications. In the last month I made a very nice two book deal with a new sf publisher, and I've been contacted to write half a book for another.

So writing is not just a November fling for me.

I'll have things to say here -- like what drives me crazy in submissions, or the problems I'm facing with a plot. Or I'll answer what questions I can.
