There are always things that I need to get done before NaNo. The big one is to have a viable outline in hand. But I also have several projects that need tied up before I throw myself into a month of madness. I must have one nonfiction book and one fiction book finished before then. I have another issue of Vision due out right before NaNo. I hope to have everything done for DTF before then. We're actually getting closer to finished on that one, and it will be nice to have a little time off from it.
But there's also the whole problem of attitude. This year has been a drain from start till... well, I can't say till finish because I'm not quite there yet, though I have to admit that it doesn't look good. I need more energy. I need some fun stuff in general just to fire me up. Even the things I normally enjoy (writing, photography, 3d art) are starting to feel like more work than they should be.
So, I need to start getting prepared and finding the fun stuff again.
I know it's out there. I just have to go hunting....
