Eeek!
I didn't realize I hadn't posted anything here for the third novel. The title is The Time and The Place, and it's a first encounter sf novel that draws on the characters from several other books I've written. I'm moving from place to place and seeing how people react to a very strange, but seemingly safe event. It is going to have some peculiar side effects, but at the moment... everything is fine. Except that some of the people are panicking.
And here is just a tiny little piece, seen from the other side:
Great goddess, golden light, mother of all, we are one in you luminous wisdom. We bow before your wisdom.
The light touched upon them and they were made one again, Tei and Jepri alike.
But mother spread onward, touching the new ones, but finding only pieces, and never the whole. Pieces scattered everywhere! World upon world, alone, no whole, no light, no wisdom --
The Tei and Jepri grew frantic, whispering among themselves; wishing that she would turn back. These creatures were not like the Tei and Jepri. They were not her children.
And the golden mother whispered back to them: Are you so certain?
