About Singer and St. Jude: Bad Connections

First of all, I do not intend to post the novel here. I might post snippets, and I'll talk about progress, but since the novel is intended for publication, I will not post the manuscript itself. Publishers aren't often interested in material that's already been posted to the 'public' on the web.

In Singer and St. Jude : The Lost Cause the two main characters have been working together as undercover cops for about a week. They live in a post apocalyptic LA that has been devastated by earthquakes and is under the control of three different 'policing' forces -- the Feds, the State Mililia, and the Locals -- who are the bottom of the line, and for which Singer and St. Jude work.

During the book they go up against the CCP -- a Christian organization with a strong militant wing (though they learn that not all members are as crazy as some of their leaders).

Now, in Book 2, Bad Connections, Elias Singer and Nicholas St. Jude are trying to track down a serial killer who has been killing musicians and leaving their severed hands in a praying position. Their worries that this might be something CCP related are unfounded, but that doesn't make the case any easier.

Add to that the removal of their boss who is under investigation, confrontations with a pair of militia, and the fact that someone is trying to kill them, and the two have their hands full.

I am really looking forward to writing this one. I have the outline done and I think it's going to be a lot of fun to write. I can hardly wait for NaNo!
